2020-2021 Lil' Pollution Preventer Art Contest Extended!

  • City of Memphis Storm Water Department 245 Bass Pro Drive Memphis, TN 38103 United States (map)

Kids PK-5th grade, now is your chance!

Enter our 2020-2021 Lil’ Pollution Preventer Art Contest!

Every entry is an effort to raise storm water awareness and is rewarded with a prize! We’ll have 2 winning artists, one for the PK-2nd grade age group and the other for the 3rd-5th grade age group. The winning artists will receive a trophy, have their art published in Jabberblabber and LaPrensa Latina, on a billboard, their designed character will be featured in our comic strip, Gurgle and his Downstream Friends, and they can be in our 2022 commercial! (See past winner commercials here.)

You don’t have to enter as part of your school, you can enter on your own! Just get an adults help! On a sheet of paper (make sure it is horizontal! Minimum size 11 x 8-1/2), design Gurgle’s next downstream friend (must be an animal that lives in or around Memphis waterbodies) and show how storm water pollution impacts that animal! Include all the information mentioned in our rules, and send it to us!

Don’t have art supplies? Email StormWater@MemphisTN.gov! We can probably help!

Read our rules here and check out our past contest galleries for inspiration!
