MEMPHIS, TN (July 2019) – Improper disposal of household hazardous waste poses a danger to our environment, especially our natural waterways. The City of Memphis Storm Water Department encourages all residents to take these wastes to the Memphis and Shelby County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility located at 6305 Haley Road. For more information regarding hours of operation and a list of acceptable items, please visit the City of Memphis Solid Waste Management website at https://www.memphistn.gov/government/solid_waste_management

Many everyday household products, such as paints, cleaners, oils, batteries, and pesticides contain potentially hazardous ingredients.  These wastes can be corrosive, toxic, ignitable, or reactive.  They must be disposed of properly and not poured down the drain, on the ground, into storm sewers, or placed in your trash receptacle.  Improper disposal poses a threat to human health, pets and our environment.

PLEASE! BE PROUD OF YOUR CITY. HELP KEEP OUR WATERWAYS CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL.
